Chelsea Fournier, Loveworks Child Care Center Essex Director
Chelsea has a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from UVM, with a minor in History. She also has a Vermont Teaching License for Birth through Third Grade. Chelsea knew she wanted to be a teacher while in high school, and at UVM selected Early Childhood Education to work with young children. She believes the young children’s honesty, natural curiosity and wonder makes an incredibly joyful learning experience for all involved.
Prior to joining Loveworks in 2018, Chelsea was the Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry at a church in S. Burlington for a program with 212 students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade and supervised 24 staff and volunteers. She also has experience teaching Preschool through Third Grade in a number of different communities. In her spare time, she likes reading, lap swimming, and spending time with family and friends. She has a deep love for animals, and quickly became a dog person after adopting her Great Dane.
Our Loveworks Child Care Center teachers are experienced and kind; most are state-certified with degrees in Elementary or Early Childhood Education. Teachers differentiate instruction to meet the distinctive learning needs of each child and they guide children to recognize their unique potential, while maintaining a compassionate approach. Within small classes, teachers strive to model exemplary character and curiosity, spark each child’s interest in learning and help each child to be successful as she or he navigates the world.
